First Birthday

Wow, can you believe that it has been a whole year since Ansley arrived?!? We are amazed at how fast time flies. However, we are truly grateful for the wonderful year that we have had and look forward to many, many more.

We celebrated Ansley's birthday by having her grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins over to her house for lunch and of course cake. Most of them were able to make it, but a few were under the weather and they were missed. Ansley had a blast playing with all of her cousins. She definitely could not complain about being bored because she had a lot of playmates. It was all we could do to keep her awake through cake time. She enjoyed mushing the icing around in her fingers and some of it even ended up on her head, but we don't think any of it really made it into her mouth.

Ansley took a couple of steps on her own towards daddy and mommy the day before her birthday, but she still doesn't quit have the confidence to realize she could do it all by her herself. She still enjoys cruising along the furniture, holding mommy's hand, or her new push toy. We know it will be any day now and she will keep mommy on the go constantly. Thank you to everyone for such a great year!!!

(Due to technical difficulty, the pictures are at the top this time. I tried to fix it about five or six times and I give up. At least you can see them.)

Finally an update....

All I am going to say is here is an update. Thankfully Anthony's dad is doing really well and is continuing to recover. The past couple of months have been pretty busy, but I will do my best to summarize. Well, with the beginning of fall comes football season, so our Saturdays have been busy either heading to Athens or at the very least cheering the Dawgs from home.

Ansley has made our lives a little more active by learning to crawl and she is cruising all around the house (as long as she has something to hold on to). It won't be long before our lives change for good and she is able to walk (or should I say run) all on her own. She has been able to spend time with both sets of grandparents because they have been gracious enough to babysit for us on several occasions. Even long enough for us to enjoy our first overnight trip away from the baby girl, so mom and dad could go to the mountains. I will admit that both mom and Ansley did really well.

Halloween was just a couples days ago and our little one was an adorable little puppy dog. We went to our neighborhood clubhouse and met up with many of the other kids to parade around the circle showing off our costumes to all. Ansley loved seeing all of the other kids and "playing" with them on the playground. Of course, the other kids liked petting her and one little girl even wanted to know if she was a "real puppy?" Hope you enjoy the pictures of our sweet puppy Ansley.
